How to Change the PHP Version via CloudLinux Selector in cPanel?

by John Doe

PHP is a widely-used, open-source programming language. It’s popular for web development and can be used on the Apache web server or with cPanel. PHP is known for its ease of use and flexibility, making it a good choice for both small and large projects.

Because site security is essential, it is a smart idea to keep the PHP version on your sites. Doing this is safe for websites on the host, as updating the PHP will not cause any damage to them. You can also make a record of your websites, just in case performing a MySQL database backup is a necessity.

WebCare360 allows you to change the PHP version within the cPanel environment. Just follow the guide;

1. Log in to your cPanel account.

2. Navigate to the Software section and click on Select PHP Version.

3. Click on the PHP Version drop-down box and select your preferred PHP version.

4. Click on Set as current button to save your PHP version change.

Always stay informed to never stop growing, and this will allow you to improve your skills in no time!
